Tipsy

Oops.

I think I might be a bit drunk.

Had drinks with my friends Weslyn.  Have not seen her since she had her baby, so I went to her house.  Her son is adorable, btw.  We walked across the street to Vespa and had a few happy hour drinks.  Was so much fun catching up and gossiping.

My tolerance is at an all-time low.  Unfortunately, have to do the same thing tomorrow.  Boss is in town and have to meet her.  My liver is crying out for help...

Ready for bed already...

Unfortunayely

Monday

I have nothing good to say.  It was a funky Monday for obvious reasons, in addition to the usual Monday crap.

If I make it through the week without snapping, it will be a minor miracle.

I have to pick up Fletcher's ashes tomorrow.

Wednesday I have a dentist appointment.

Friday is the damned Royal Wedding.  I never thought I'd say this, but I'm sick of hearing about it.  Maybe I'll be in the spirit by Friday.  But certainly not enough to wake up at 4 am when coverage begins.

I Hate Monday

My recent string of Pollyanna-I-Love-Mondays happiness is OVER!

I am TIRED!

I am GRUMPY!

I need MORE sleep!

And my work colleagues need NOT fuck with me!

Only four more days until complete and utter relaxation.  No tennis.  No driving girls around.  No taking orders.

Just me, my bed, and the TV.

Monday

Another wild Monday.  After such a busy and productive Sunday, it's no wonder that I had trouble sleeping last night.  I was a total wreck this morning, and was slow moving.  Unfortunately, today was the big conference call with our friends in Europe.  It was two hours of pure torture.  We didn't cover nearly as much as we had planned, so it looks like follow-up calls will be necessary.  Ugh.

The rest of the day was a blur.  I'm now sitting in bed.  I just had a hot bath.  I still have a crick in my neck from last night's fitful sleep.

Only 3 and a half more days until Hilton Head.  Yay.

Monday Monday

It actually was a pretty good Monday here!!!  I was very productive at work.  I was a bit tired this morning, but the time change didn't totally ruin my day.

It was warm again.  I think the spring weather may be here to stay.  Here's hoping.

I wish I could give a decent recap of last night's "Amazing Race" but I as barely paying attention.  I do know that it was one of those dumb "You're Still Racing" pitstops, where no one gets eliminated.  Lucky for the Dating Goths, Kent and Vyxsin.

I began watching "Celebrity Apprentice" but I'm not sure it has me hooked.  I was dozing towards the end, but I believe big-lipped Lisa Rinna was eliminated.  Yes, the original Billie on "Days of Our Lives" for those of you who watch "the stories."

Happy Monday

Believe it or not, it was actually a pretty fantastic start to the week.

I stayed up a bit too late last night.  After my quality reality shows were over, I switched to the Oscars and watched up until the end.  Not that there were any surprises worth staying up late for.

I awoke bright-eyed and bushy tailed, and I achieved so much before 10 am.  That always sets a nice tone.

The park was nice today and my run felt great.  I got a bit of a startle---there were 8 deer running through the woods!  Yes, I actually counted, and no, there was no jolly fat man in a red suit following them.

My afternoon was filled with meetings, but they were actually pretty productive.  And my boss called me at the end of the day with some good news.  Thanks, Sharyl.

All in all, a great day.  Now just 4 more to go until the weekend...

Monday

It's another rainy Monday here in South Carolina.  So far it looks like that little groundhog may be just another furry little liar.  I hope someone makes a nice stew out of him.

I'm pretty exhausted from all of the Super Bowl activities.  I wasn't very emotionally invested in it this year, but it was still fun to watch.

My favorite commercial this year was definitely the pint-sized Darth Vader channeling the force against a Volkswagen.  Makes me want to go out and buy one.  Oh wait, I was already thinking of doing that.

R.I.P.

Monday.  Ugh.

I'm happy to report that I ended the weekend with some original television programming to help take my mind off the looming workweek.  "Jerseylicious" had its season premiere.  Apparently Mama Cass has risen from the dead and is now working at the Gatsby.

Seriously, bravo to the Style network work for pumping out the quality programming in a quick and consistent manner.  It seems like the last season just ended, yet I'm already be treated to more.  HBO and Bravo should take note.

I'm sad to report that my mobile phone has officially kicked the bucket.  It started acting up last night, and continued rebooting itself this morning.  This may not sound like a big deal to most people, but I'm very committed to my gadgets, and choosing a replacement will take nothing short of 5 in-store visits and 3 months.  Verizon is no longer selling my awesome Nokia model, so I ordered someone's refurbished sloppy seconds to serve my needs until I could make a better informed decision.

I'll no doubt lose all of my numbers, so everyone please call me after tomorrow morning's FedEx delivery so that I can re-add you to my address book.

The technology gods are vexing me even further, also striking my work laptop.  I have to drive up to Charlotte Wednesday to have it re-imaged.  Arg.  Oh well, at least I'll get to have a quick visit with my posse.

Dexter

I'm already getting depressed that the season finale of "Dexter" is quickly approaching.  It just keeps getting better and better.

In all of my years of watching this show, this is the first time that I'm really seeing Dexter as a human being.  Still a serial killer, but still human.  Even his courtship and marriage to Rita didn't come close to what's currently going on between him and Lumen.  The schoolboy look on his face every time he's around her is priceless.

So the dynamic duo finally tracked down the remaining bad guy last night and Lumen did the deed by offing him.  Apparently that was a big turn-on for both of them, because they ended up sleeping together.  Different strokes for different folks, as numerous relatives of mine would say.  Now they only have Jordan Chase to take care of.

Nancy Drew, I mean Deb, is piecing together that a former victim turned-vigilante is now offing the victims.  I'm very interested to see how Dexter and Lumen avoid being discovered.  My instinct tells me that Lumen can't stay around for long though.  And I'm really starting to like her.

My favorite serial killer show was followed by another excellent episode of my favorite new zombie show.  Next week is the finale, so I'll have to do without at least until next summer.

The latest episode dealt with the bloodbath aftermath and the group leaving camp.  One of the guys was bitten by a zombie, so they're taking him to the CDC.  Seems like a logical move since they're in Atlanta.  Unfortunately, he wasn't taking the ride very well, so he requested to be dumped off along the road.

When they finally reached the CDC, it appeared that there was a lone survivor holed up inside.  The ending saw him opening up the doors to let the group in just in time to avoid zombie attack.  Nice move.

So that's it as far a TV goes.  Just another manic Monday.  I'm still working technically, but just thought I'd take a break to update my blog and count down the days until the cruise.  Because I'm dedicated like that.
